Let's Move Lincolnshire Connect

Supporting Lincolnshire’s physical activity, sport and leisure sector to connect to local services and organisations.

Join us for Let’s Move Lincolnshire – Connect. We're hosting two events to support physical activity providers to thrive and grow, by connecting the physical activity, sport and leisure sector businesses, charities, organisations and trusts with local providers of business support and wider services.

There are 1,200 charities and 1,200 businesses across Greater Lincolnshire providing physical activity, with a paid workforce of 28,000 and a significantly larger volunteer workforce. We aim to support you to connect with each other and business support services organisations.

Join us to:

  • Connect with local services and organisations
  • Better understand the local needs of our communities and places, in particular those people who face greater barriers to participation in sport and physical activity

  • Skills development: from sector specific qualifications and marketing to customer service, digital communications and mental health first aid

Inclusion Week - Keynote Speakers

Our theme over the two days is inclusivity. We’ll be supporting National Inclusion Week with keynote speeches from GB Paralympian, Sam Ruddock (Spalding) and Diversity and Inclusion Sector Lead for CIMSPA Catherine Edmunds (Skegness) to continue our advocacy for supporting everyone to be more physically active, regardless of culture, religion, age, race, sex, sexual orientation or disability.

Sam Ruddock, GB Paralympian & 2023 UCI World Champion

Sam Ruddock - SwPix

Sam Ruddock is a track and road cyclist who competes for the Great Britain ParaCycling Team. He recently returned from the UCI Track World Championships in Glasglow, where he retained the kilometre time trial world title that he won in 2022. As well as his dedication to his sport, he is an ambassador for Grantham based, PE and school sport charity inspire plus. His work with the charity includes delivering assemblies, mentoring, coaching and providing CPD workshops for teachers and staff.

Catherine Edmunds, Diversity and Inclusion Sector Lead, CIMSPA

Catherine Edmunds

Catherine, an experienced professional in the field of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, holds the position of EDI Sector Lead at Chartered Institute of Management, Sport & Physical Activity (CIMSPA). With a decade of cross sector experience, within physical activity, fitness and professional sport, she has developed an extensive knowledge around EDI strategy, governance, planning and implementation, resulting in positive and sustainable change. Catherine is passionate about creating equitable opportunities for everyone to enjoy the benefits that physical activity and sport bring, through working with sector actors, to build knowledge and confidence, around the subject and increase workforce representation of the population it serves.

Cimspa are the professional development body for the UK’s sport and physical activity sector, committed to supporting, developing and enabling professionals and organisations to succeed and, as a result, inspire our nation to become more active. Speak to them to learn about skills development and professional support.


Sported is a UK wide charity supporting young people in Sport. If your club or community group is working with children or young people, speak to them to find out how they can help you with a range of free support, including funding guidance, best practice on matters like safeguarding and governance and professional development.

Shine Lincolnshire

Learn about funding programs and mental health training from Shine Lincolnshire. Shine is a county wide charity which aims to support people with poor mental health to live well through accessing a range of support services, working with services users and carers and other agencies in Lincolnshire.

Street Tag

The Street Tag app revolutionises physical activity for orgnisations, charities and groups by gamifying fitness. It incentivises participants to engage in outdoor activities, promoting health and community engagement. It's a powerful tool for promoting fitness programmes, fundraising events and community initiatives. Find out more about the app, and how you can encourage your community to sign up.

Lets Move Lincolnshire is a website and activity finder for residents in the county. Find out how to list your activity sessions, clubs, venue and facilities for free and be part of the countywide movement to help more people to be more active more often.


One You Lincolnshire

One You Lincolnshire offer free support to Lincolnshire residents to move more, lose weight, stop smoking and drink less. Explore this LCC Public Health commissioned services for physical activity, and find out how you can work with them.

YMCA supports vulnerable and disadvantaged people across Lincolnshire. The organisation has recently been awarded UK shared prosperity funding to support community activities and village halls. Speak to the YMCA team to explore ways that you could connect with this funded programme.

UK Coaching

UK Coaching puts coaching at the heart of physical activity and sport. The organisation plays a pivotal role in supporting organisations, charities, and groups that incorporate physical activity into their services. Whether you're a coach, leader, instructor, facilitator, or educator aiding individuals in becoming more active, UK Coaching offers support, educational opportunities, and resources to enhance your skills, ensuring participants have a rewarding experience.

Holiday Activities and Food Programme (HAF)

Discover opportunities to provide a Holiday Activities and Food programme (HAF), the Government funded programme that provides free holiday clubs for reception to year 11 pupils in receipt of benefits-related free school meals in Lincolnshire over the summer, Christmas and Easter holidays.

Lincolnshire Community Foundation distributes grants to charities, community groups and organisations across the county. These grants help tackle issues such as child poverty, loneliness and isolation, food poverty, homelessness, access to services, addiction, unemployment and many other crucial local needs. Speak to them to get insight into the grant funding that is available.

Playwaze offer sports clubs and organisations digital solutions to help them manage bookings and promote their activity. Playwaze power the Let's Move Lincolnshire Activity Finder, and can chat to you about getting your club or activity featured.

Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service (LCVS) exists to support the voluntary and community sector in Lincolnshire. Come and talk to them about volunteering and social prescribing.


Opening School Facilities

Opening School Facilities investment from the Department for Education supports schools to open their facilities for local community and pupils to use, for sport and other physical activities, outside of the normal school day.

Active Lincolnshire is distributing a £989k Opening School Facilities investment from the Department for Education (DfE), to schools in the county.

Lincolnshire Co-op is a co-operative owned by their 300,000 members, the people of Lincolnshire and surrounding counties. They recycle all profits locally. This includes supporting local community groups, charities and schools through their Community Champions scheme.

Lincolnshire Co-op pride themselves on their dedication to making lives better in local communities, and their wellbeing walks scheme is a vital part in helping to offer physical activity opportunities to the people in their areas. The walks are completely free and offer local people the opportunity to access some fresh air, friendship and fitness in a fully inclusive environment.

They will be leading pre event walks at both events, a great way to get energised for the day.

LVET is a collective of VCSE organisations working together with a specific focus on developing and delivering health, care, and wellbeing services in Lincolnshire working with partner agencies. LVET is going through an unprecedented and exciting time of growth and development.

Magna Vitae is a Charitable Trust whose mission is to provide an extraordinary range of cultural, leisure and health related facilities, and gyms in Lincolnshire that allow local people to live a great life.
